Kensington Church Street
In the renovation of a 1950s office building on Kensington High Street, 23 Architecture Ltd transformed a tired 650 sqm interior into a flexible, contemporary workplace. The scheme balances modern detailing with respect for the building’s character and was recognised with a Silver Award at the 2024 WIN Workspace Interiors Awards.
At the centre of the communal zone, a freestanding Buster + Punch kitchen becomes both a functional core and a design statement. Specified in off-black with stainless steel accents, the island sits lightly on pale oak flooring, its pared-back form creating a crisp counterpoint to the surrounding natural textures.
This installation demonstrates how a Buster + Punch kitchen can bring architectural weight to a workplace - combining utility with bold minimalism to set a new benchmark for integrated communal spaces in office design. The result: a refined, inviting hub where colleagues can pause, share ideas, and connect over a coffee.
